Vote for House Bill 1028! Safer railroads, safer communities.
The election cycles since the Citizens United decision was rendered have been an escalating campaign by the right wing to fundamentally change the American economy and destroy the middle class and the unions that built it.
Until recently, Labor has fought its own battles using its own limited resources. That has to change if Labor is going to survive in the new political reality.
We intend to effect that paradigm change with the Rebuilding American Values 501(c)4. Founded by Bob Wolper, Rebuilding American Values is organized as a 501(c)4 entity - a tax exempt social welfare organization. We educate the public through the use of traditional educational, advertising, and new media methodologies. We promote good jobs, with good wages and good benefits, to change public perception about labor unions and the value they add to the American economy.

On Friday, August 27th, Rebuilding American Values (RAV) made a presentation to the Pennsylvania Misclassification Task Force. The Task Force is charged with studying this critical issue and coming up with a report and recommendations for the PA Legislature by March of 2022.
The RAV presentation was based on information and in-person interviews with two unions – IUOE Local 542 and IUPAT District Council 21 – and two of their signatory contractors – Fritz Beinke of F.R. Beinke Wrecking, Inc., and Mike and Nick Dalicandro of Twindows, Inc.
Based on interviews conducted by Temple University Master of Public Policy graduate student Tyler Honschke and Bob Wolper of RAV, we were able to stimulate a conversation about policy option recommendations in three areas: Administrative, Regulatory, and Legislative.
Below you will find a copy of our presentation, and you can scroll through the 23 slides.
RAV is in favor of transparency and accountability in the spending of tax dollars for public projects, big and small. We believe that wage theft is also tax theft and tax fraud, and we continue to look for ways to level the playing field for workers and responsible contractors.
Check back here for updates as we continue to work with the Misclassification Task Force on behalf of Pennsylvania workers, taxpayers, and responsible contractors.
Rebuilding American Values is a 501(c)4 social welfare organization dedicated to educating citizens and taxpayers and advocating for public policies that increase civic engagement, create more transparency in the function of government, and increase the level of accountability to citizens and taxpayers in the way governmental bodies spend tax dollars.
We believe citizens and taxpayers have a right to know that their elected officials are making responsible decisions on how to spend tax revenue, especially for infrastructure and capital projects. They also have a right to expect that their elected officials will hold the recipients of those tax revenues accountable.
Rebuilding American Values works to develop public policy proposals to improve enforcement, transparency and accountability for states, counties, municipalities and local school boards and advocate for improved enforcement of existing laws while developing improvements to policies at the state and local level.
Rebuilding American Values supports policies that create good jobs, with good wages and good benefits – the values that really make our nation strong.
Rebuilding American Values supports public education, the value of defined benefit pensions and negotiated health benefits, labor and management training and apprentice programs, and the critical need for infrastructure and public transportation spending.
Rebuilding American Values actively opposes privatization of vital public services delivered by public employees.
